The University of Houston is currently seeking to hire a Marketing Data Analyst. In this role, you will support the Division of Marketing and Communications. You will be a data-driven problem solver with strong analytical skills and a keen interest in marketing. In addition, you will be proficient in collecting and analyzing data and skilled at translating complex findings into clear, actionable reports for non-technical leadership. Adaptability, a proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate insights effectively are essential for this role. While experience in marketing analysis is a plus, a willingness to learn and a passion for understanding marketing and communication audiences are equally important.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze data using various statistical and other software programs to provide statistical and summary reports for strategic planning and program development
  • Conduct research and studies on the institution, including design of studies, data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Analyze data using appropriate statistical models and assist stakeholders in the interpretations of the data
  • Provide data to senior administration and consult with key constituents’ system-wide regarding appropriate research design, methodology, sampling, and evaluation protocol
  • Respond to ad-hoc information requests
  • Consult and provide guidance on design, data collection, analyzing and reporting research studies
  • Coordinate with faculty and researchers on special reports, projects and analyses as requested
  • Serve as project lead on the design and analysis of complex data sets used to address research questions relevant to institutional planning decisions
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience
