We are currently seeking to hire a creative, strategic Communications Manager. In this role, you will manage our organization’s internal/external communications. You will report to the President and CEO, while collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will be a member of the administrative team and work together throughout each year to take Camp For All to the next level for those we serve and all of the employees. You will also help create and maintain a professional environment and brand, where the Camp For All mission is carried forward. The selected candidate will be vital to the success of our organization and will shape, execute, and maintain both the internal and external brand of Camp For All. The salary range for this role is $55,000 – $65,000. Benefits include 100% employer-paid health, life, and long-term disability benefits for full-time staff. Additionally, dental, vision, and supplemental life benefits are offered. All health savings account participants also receive a bi-weekly contribution to their HSA of up to $1,000. Camp For All is proud to provide generous paid time off, earned every pay period, and includes (9) paid holidays. Eligible employees can participate in the 401k plan, with a matching employer contribution of up to 4%.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop yearly and long-term strategies serving as the primary resource for all interdepartmental and external communications
  • Work with directors, managers, and team members to achieve communication goals
  • Facilitate the Marketing & PR Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Manage communication outreach to Partner nonprofits in support of shared goals
  • Manage the Camp For All Brand and Style guide and ensures that all materials are aligned with the Camp For All brand identity
  • Oversee production of marketing and program materials, including invitations, e-letters, newsletters, annual reports, direct mail pieces, videos, program collateral and fundraising materials
  • Manage projects with contract agency and graphic designer
  • Oversee and manages the website with key team members
  • Develop and maintains media relationships, coordinates media opportunities, and creates and distributes press releases and marketing campaigns in collaboration with contract public relations firm
  • Analyze and track earned media impressions, social media reach and engagement, web traffic, and SEO performance that is distributed in monthly and quarterly reports to the Board of Directors and Camp For All executive team
  • Execute social media and assist in devising strategy for multiple platforms – Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
  • Organize interviews with team members to collect camper stories
  • Attend fundraising events, auxiliary group meetings, and nonprofit Partner meetings
  • Communicate clearly and positively in writing and verbally with board members, community organizations, volunteers, and donors
  • Maintain flexible work schedule with the ability to work extended hours/weekends
  • Obtain professional development through professional organizations

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, community outreach, marketing, public relations and/or journalism
  • 3+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and/or communications
  • High-level oral and written communication skills, editing, proofreading, layout, and design
  • Organized, creative, professional, flexible, self-starter with the ability to accomplish projects independently and manage key communications initiatives concurrently
  • Able to work collaboratively in multi-task environments with internal and external constituent groups
  • Proficiency using the latest version of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Constant Contact
  • Strong knowledge of current trends in digital media/social media with experience in the WordPress website platform
  • Adaptable to changing priorities, offering communications counsel to staff, Board, volunteers, and Partner organizations
  • Demonstrate proficiency in working with donors
