Lou Ann Duvall, Senior Director, Marketing & Communications, Houston Energy Transition Initiative (HETI)

Lou Ann Duvall is the senior director of the Houston Energy Transition Initiative (HETI) at the Greater Houston Partnership, the region’s largest chamber of commerce. She leads HETI’s strategic communications and is responsible for the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies designed to advance the Partnership’s initiative to accelerate global solutions for a low-carbon future.
Prior to joining the Partnership, Lou Ann spent over a decade working for national communications agencies, and specifically on the energy team. Lou Ann led client teams focused on a range of energy portfolio clients including Fortune 500, mid-sized energy organizations and national energy trade associations.
Lou Ann graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Broadcasting.

Jessica Roman, General Manager, Phillips 66

Jessica Roman is General Manager, Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) and Sustainability for Phillips 66. She is the chief governance officer for public policy issues and sustainability strategy and leads the company’s disclosures and outreach on ESG.

Prior to assuming her current role, Roman served as Manager, Sustainability Strategy, Policy and Engagement.

Roman has served in various positions, including Director of Strategy, where she was responsible for strategy development, optimization and performance analysis of East, Gulf Coast and Central refineries.

Roman began her career as a process design engineer. She has held various individual contributor and leadership roles across multiple Phillips 66 sites throughout her career.

Roman graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2007 with a bachelor’s of engineering in chemical engineering.

Haavard Oensten, CCO at Kongsberg Digital

I apply my combined energy industry, software and management consulting experience at the core of the energy industry, enabling energy companies to improve performance in their business operations. Here at Kongsberg Digital, I head the development and execution of our growth strategy for Digital Energy. This includes accountability for all global sales, industry vertical penetration, strategic partnerships and alliances.

Since 2017, we have invested substantially in our digital twin software product Kognitwin, a cloud-based digital twin software platform that provides energy asset owner/operators with one unified digital work surface for their asset portfolios, across the asset lifecycle. We can offer a unique combination of contextualized data, rich 3D and 2D visualization and dynamic process and multiphase flow models that when combined allow our customers an accelerated path toward autonomous operations.

Jessica Mahaffey, CMO at ABS

Jessica Mahaffey is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for ABS. She is responsible for leading the development and execution of measurable strategies globally for strategic marketing efforts, external relations and employee communications. Previously, she was Senior Director of Corporate Affairs with global responsibility for leading the company’s external communications strategies, including media relations, industry events, reputation and thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, digital marketing, branding and creative services.

Prior to joining ABS in 2019, Mahaffey was Vice President of External Affairs at Direct Energy, where she held several marketing, communications, and regulatory senior leadership positions.
Mahaffey has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations, and a secondary concentration in marketing and management from Baylor University

Naome Klinge, Energy Reporter at Houston Business Journal

Naomi Klinge, is a energy reporter for Houston Business Journal. She’s been covering the energy industry for over two years, previously as the North America correspondent for Upstream News.

She is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where she studied International Journalism with a dual degree in Political Science. Her experience expands working and volunteering in four other countries.

Her journalism experience includes newspaper reporting, podcast reporting, producing and hosting, multimedia production and television news producing.
