We are currently seeking to hire a Brand Coordinator to join a highly motivated team in selflessly advancing The Association of Former Students’ noble mission as part of our Marketing and Creative Services team by providing graphic design and brand support to departmental staff, programs, campus beneficiaries and affiliate organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise graphic design and related services.
- Oversee workload management and prioritization for graphic design and brand services, as well as the communications between the team and collaborating partners (internal and external).
- Serve as the lead graphic designer for print and digital graphic design and pre-press operations by creating digital and print-ready art for items including, but not limited to, newsletters, invitations, postcards, brochures, posters, signage, and other collateral.
- Appraise, coach, and motivate the part-time Brand Specialist, while working alongside the other Marketing and Creative Services’ staff.
- Oversee brand management and related initiatives.
- Administer and maintain The Association’s brand standards across all communications channels, including print, web, and signage.
- Maintain the integrity of The Association of Former Students’ brand, logo, and trademarks.
- Ensure the proper use of all Texas A&M University and Aggie Ring trademarks within the organization and by affiliate organizations.
- Oversee the promotional items program for The Association and ensure The Association’s brand is properly administered on Association promotional items.
- Oversee the apparel program for The Association and ensure The Association’s brand is properly administered on apparel for the organization’s staff and volunteers.
- Lead and execute brand strategies and campaigns for the organization (with direction from the Director of Marketing)
- Works on special projects as needed and assigned by the Vice President or Director of Marketing.
- Collaborates with the Director of Marketing to improve standard operating procedures, increase efficiency in processes, and create graphic design opportunities to improve efficiency at The Association.
- Participate in and provide input on various Association-wide activities.
- Actively contribute toward efforts to achieve our culture, engagement, and fundraising goals.
- Provide on-site event support for Board and Leadership Council meetings.
- Participate on internal event teams and task committees.
- Participate in Association events, which may include Aggie Muster, Aggie Ring Day, All-Aggie Grad Party, All-Aggie Hullabaloo, Distinguished Alumni Gala, Reunions, Pass It Back Day, Thank an Ag Day, All-Team Meetings, gameday receptions, and others as needed.
- Serve as an ambassador for The Association
- Meet Team expectations.
- Support The Association’s marketing, communications, and branding initiatives.
- Foster relationships with students, former students, faculty, staff, and friends of Texas A&M.
- Attend external events on behalf of The Association, as directed

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a graphic design/visual communications discipline or any equivalent combination of training and experience
- Five or more years of professional graphic design experience. Experience managing a team.
- Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and five or more years professional experience in an agency-type environment is preferred.
- Advanced software skills, including proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Lightroom).
- Working knowledge of PDF files and pre-press requirements.
- Sound judgment and utmost discretion.
- Self-motivated with strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects
- Able to effectively communicate with students, former students, Association employees, and Association leadership in a professional manner.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of unique personalities and individuals.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and software.
- Strong commitment to the vision and mission of The Association of Former Students, with the ability and desire to advocate for the organization and Texas A&M University.
- High energy level and intrinsic motivation.

- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed.
