The University of Houston is currently seeking to hire a Corporate Relations Director. In this role, you will direct the overall corporate relations program for the UH System. You will plan and carry out strategies, solicits gifts, and coordinate system-wide activities that result in the greatest possible philanthropic investments from corporate donors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the University of Houston’s most important corporate donor relationships, coordinating solicitation, stewardship, and engagement strategies with those donors across the University of Houston as well as the UH System
  • Serve as a single point of contact at the University for corporate donors of $5 million or more to ensure their engagement experience is a positive one
  • Lead a team of Corporate Relations gift officers in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate donors for the University Advancement division, including management responsibility over multiple positions
  • Coordinate with college-based Development colleagues on the development and implementation of corporate giving strategies for their respective fundraising business plans
  • Advise University collaborators, including University leadership, Deans, faculty and administrators-on practices and protocols around working with corporate donors
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals and other documentation/communication
  • Administer the department’s budget and personnel
  • Perform other job-related duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience
  • Experience in fundraising, business development or marketing within a large national or international organization is preferred
