We are currently seeking to hire a Public Relations Account Executive/Manager superstar to join our growing and award-winning PR team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing earned PR campaigns that generate buzzworthy and meaningful stories for clients. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as day-to-day PR contact on assigned client accounts
- Research, plan and implement public relations campaigns that complement and integrate with clients’ advertising and marketing objectives, goals, and strategies
- Develop and manage relationships with local regional and national media across print, online, TV and radio mediums
- Pitch and coordinate interviews with client
- Develop interview briefing sheets for clients
- Write, edit, and proof press materials and internal communications
- Stay abreast of trends, changes and breaking news related to clients’ industries and market developments
- Travel offsite to be the point of contact for media at interviews and broadcast segments with client
- Build and maintain a network of community and corporate leaders, businesses, and organizations to identify meaningful collaborations, partnerships, and sponsorships with clients for PR opportunities
- Support events by researching and coordinating with vendors
- Media train spokesperson(s) for interview and speaking opportunities
- Be a consistent idea generator for all clients
- Provide client service support, including drafting status documents, call recaps, agendas and more.
- Provide superior client service through constant communication
- Counsel clients and troubleshoot any issues regarding campaign activities
- Prepare, analyze, and present PR recaps, POVs, and best practices to clients
- Manage intern’s workload and provide mentorship throughout their internship
- Support new business development
- Support of other agency initiatives as requested
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 to 4 years of public relations experience
- Industry experience in consumer, B2B, health, retail, food and beverage, energy, corporate, crisis, real estate, etc.
- Agency experience is preferred
- Strong relationships with local, regional, and national media reporters, producers, editors, etc.
- Proven track record of securing earned stories in print, online, TV and radio
- Demonstrated experience working directly with clients on day-to-day activities
- Ability to think strategically, be a risk taker, be a problem solver and have a passion for storytelling
- Strong creative and technical writing skills with demonstrated expertise in Associated Press
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple initiatives and priorities within specified timeframes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present to clients
- Strong project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, media monitoring, tracking, and reporting tools such as Cision, Meltwater, etc.
- BA/BS in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
